Day 1. Arrival at Entebbe International Airport,
On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be welcomed by a Mandela Safari Holidays representative who will be your guide for the Uganda part of this 11 Days Uganda and Kenya Safari Holiday. He will transfer you to your Hotel and brief you about the whole tour.

Day 2. Travel to Bwindi Forest
After having breakfast, travel to south west of Uganda to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest home to mountain gorillas. You will have several breaks on this journey such as at Kayabwe/Equator village for photo shoot as you cross the equator to the southern hemisphere. Lunch will be on the way and arrival at Bwindi in the evening.

Day 3. Gorilla Trekking
After a mighty breakfast prepared by your accommodation, we report at the gorilla tracking starting point for a short briefing. You then enter the Impenetrable forest with your packed lunch to search for the endangered mountain gorillas. Be ready to walk for 45 minutes to 5 hours depending on where you will find the gorillas that day. Having encountered them, you will be given a full hour to interact with gorillas before returning to your lodge to relax.

Day 4. Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Having had breakfast, you will drive to Queen Elizabeth National park. You will access the park via Ishasha, the southern sector which is famous for the rare tree climbing lions. You will have a game drive en-route and if lucky you may spot these cats lazing in the fig trees as they try to escape the mid-day sun. Arrival at your lodge will be in the evening.

Day 5. Full day game drive and boat trip
Wake up for a mighty breakfast, and go for a game drive in the Kasenyi sector. This is a mating ground for kobs and therefore a hunting ground for lions, leopards and other predators. Expect to see kobs, water bucks, lions, leopards, elephants and so on. After having lunch, you are to have a boat trip on the Kazinga channel. This is the water stream that joins the two lakes George and Edward. It is a permanent water source and several animals go to it to have a drink in the afternoon. You end your day with an evening game drive around the Kabatoro sector.

Day 6. Travel to Kibale Forest National Park
Have breakfast at leisure and travel to Kibale Forest National park, the primate capital of the world. This tropical rain forest is home to 13 primate species including; the red tailed monkey, blue monkeys, olive baboons, bush babies, nocturnal portal, grey cheeked manga bay,chimpanzee and so on.

Day 7. Chimpanzee tracking
Have breakfast and travel to Kyanyanchu where you will begin your chimpanzee walk. You will be briefed about the dos and don’ts of chimpanzee trekking and then enter the forest to search for our closest cousins. Having encountered them, you will spend an hour relating. Be ready to walk for 1 to 6 hours depending on where the chimps will be on this day. You may drive back to your lodge and relax or have an option to do either the Bigodi swamp walk or hike around the crater lakes in the area.

Day 8. Travel to Entebbe and Fly to Masai Mara
Having had breakfast, you travel to Entebbe airport to catch your flight to the Masai mara. This is Kenya’s prime wildlife reserve and is famous for migration of millions of wildebeest. You will be picked up by your Kenya Safari guide and drive to your lodge.

Day 9 and 10. Full day game drive in the Masai Mara
Having had breakfast, have a full day game viewing on the vast plains of the Masai Mara giving you chance to see lions, cheetahs, buffaloes, zebras, warthogs. Masai Mara is famous for having a huge population of game.
The months of July to September tend to be the most interesting due to the migration of millions of wildebeest from Tanzania’s Serengeti to Kenya’s Mara National Reserve. To some, this great animal migration is the 7th wonder of the world.

Day 11. Visit a Masai village and Travel to Nairobi
You wakeup for a relaxed breakfast and then visit a masai community. While on this tour you will be introduced to some masai traditions such as starting fire without a lighter, also enjoy a presentation from their community. Be ready to participate in the presentation as it is healthy for your muscles (can you jump higher than a masai warrior?)
In the evening, you will travel to Jommo Kenyatta International Airport to catch your connection flight to your next destination.
