Kibale Forest National Park is located at the very center of Western Uganda, where the endless tea plantations come face to face with the ancient green cover of the Albertine Rift, is the Kibale Forest National Park. Bigodi Nature Walk: This is a 3-hour nature tour through the swamps of Magombe. It is highly recommended for eco-tourists because it is a great spot to view the Great Blue Turaco.

Best Time to Visit to visit

Kibale National Park offers year-round opportunities for visitors owing to its pleasant weather conditions; however, the Dry Seasons (June to September and December to February) are best suited for primates. Culture and Community Tours: Tourists can interact with the indigenous Batooro and Bakiga peoples by paying visits to their settlements, exploring local medicinal practices, and taking tours of the verdant tea plantations surrounding the park. However, the wet season (March to May and October to November) is a unique time for the bird lovers and then photographers. The rain brings a vibrant, green and the forest is filled with the scent of blooming flowers. How to get to Kibale Forest National Park.

Kibale Forest National Park is situated in western Uganda, about 300 kilometers away from the capital city of Kampala, and can be reached easily by both road and air transport. The major road access is through the Kampala-Mubende-Fort Portal Road, a 5 to 6 hour journey passing through stunning agricultural countryside and mountain foothills. The other road route is the southern route passing through Mbarara and Ibanda, suitable for those planning to visit both Kibale and Queen Elizabeth National Parks. For those who want to travel fast, there are local flights available from either Entebbe International Airport or Kajjansi Airstrip to Kasese Airstrip. From Kasese, you can reach the park in one and half hours, giving you ample time to do more activties.
