You will meet your safari driver guide today at the hotel or Airport who will take you for a city excursion in and around Kigali. This is to enable you orient yourself with this great country of ‘a thousand hills. After this excursion, you will proceed to Volcanoes National Park located in the North of Ruhengeri via undulating and beautiful terraced hills which shows a clear picture of the general landscape and altitude of Rwanda.

Accommodation: Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge/Da Vinci Gorilla Lodge (FB)

Morning: After an early breakfast at the lodge, you will start your exciting morning drive to the Volcanoes National Park Headquarters to begin your trek into the indigenous forest in search for the Gorillas. You will do be briefed on the does and don’ts as you move in the forest and meet the gorillas.

Gorilla trek: You will Join other visitors to Make a group of 8 and then start your trek in the forest.  You will experience colorful birds, rare golden monkey and other monkeys. You will spend one Hour with the gorillas and then return, have lunch at the lodge and later relax at the lodge to chill from the tiresome and exciting activity of the day.

After breakfast, you will bid farewell to the lodge and drive back to Kigali City and if you did not visit the genocide memorial center, you will have an opportunity to do so before transferring to the airport for your departure flight out.
