After breakfast, depart for Volcanoes National Park to arrive for check-in and lunch. The rest of the afternoon will be spent at leisure in the lodge with excellent views of the forest and ridges around.  Situated in the far northwest of Rwanda, the park protects the steep slopes of this magnificent mountain range and is home to the endangered mountain gorilla and a rich mosaic of montane ecosystems, which embrace evergreen and bamboo forest, open grassland, swamp and heath. Volcanoes National Park is named after the chain of dormant volcanoes making up the Virunga Massif: Karisimbi – the highest at 4,507m, Bisoke with its verdant crater lake, Sabinyo, Gahinga and Muhabura.

After breakfast, you will bid farewell to the lodge and visit the Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village to learn about Rwandan traditions & Twin Lakes. The visit to the village gives you a rare chance to meet local people, in their environment, with a taste of our culture and traditions. You will share with local people home and heritage treasures including lifestyles, activities, artifacts and ways of living of local people. Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village is committed at showcasing the ways of living, traditional lifestyles and dances to visitors. The beautiful twin lakes are located at the base Volcano Muhabura and close to the border of Rwanda and Uganda in the northern part of Rwanda, on the outskirts of Musanze. These Magnificent twin lakes of Bulera and Ruhondo and its Swamp Rugezi are the excellent photogenic, serene and scenic places for Bird watching activity. Moreover, Rugezi swamp is one of the most seven important birding areas IBAs) in Rwanda. Thereafter transfer back to Kigali for sightseeing with a shopping tour if time allows.
